Youth is the Heart of Society

Youth is the Heart of Society
“Now is the best time for the youth to go to the procession.
Now is the best time for the youth to go to war."¹

Really the most important time of Human life is youth.  The age of chewing stones;  The amount of consciousness that makes the impossible possible at this time of life is no longer found.  Every moment of a person's youth is an invaluable resource.  Whether male or female, in this world or in the Hereafter, the importance of youth is immense.  That is why Allah Ta'ala will not ask about childhood, adolescence, adulthood or old age on the Day of Judgment;  Just ask ‘how did you spend your youth’?²

The progress of every country and nation depends on their youth.  If the youth is well educated, the country will be developed, if the youth is hardworking, the nation will be self-reliant.  Today's youth are the drivers of the development of the country and the nation of tomorrow.  That is why the Prophet (S) said: “You will spoil your youth before you grow old.”³

The youth is called the 'Heart of Society'.  And do you know what ‘Heart’ is?  In the language of Hadith, that part of the body, if it is good, the whole body is good, and if it is damaged, the whole body is destroyed.⁴

The bitter reality is that our ‘Heart of Society’ is rotting.  When we have heart cancer, we have to count the number of last breaths, we have the same condition.  The whole youth today is afflicted with various social and spiritual disorders.

Some of the problems with thick spots are,
  Haram relationship
  Secular mentality
  Unemployment
  Depression
  Drug addiction
  Addiction to pornography
Addiction to songs, movies and games
  Malpolitics

I thought about each of the above problems separately;  I will discuss very briefly what I felt.

External reasons for inciting or engaging in illicit relations or haraam relations are biological needs and violation of the Shariah Veil.

Secular education and lack of religious education are the main regulators of religious laxity or anti-religion (Islam is the only religion here).

While searching for the cause of unemployment, I saw that millions of young people are suffering from unemployment due to false prestige and deception of personality and corruption.  And due to unemployment, the youth are becoming mentally disturbed and stagnant.

Depression is also a significant problem nowadays.  Numerous young men and women are frustrated and are heading towards destruction.  Some of the major causes of this depression are weakness in the belief in destiny, unemployment, loneliness and strained relationships.

Drug addiction: Drug addiction is eating away at the youth.  As soon as evening falls, intoxication has entered the streets and alleys or closed doors and windows or on the roofs of houses, hostels, messes and is taking the youth to the brink of destruction.

In most cases, drugs start with cigarettes, then gaza, heroin, phencidyl, alcohol, etc.

Most of the time, bad company plays the role of guru in stepping on the path.  Fresh souls are ruined by being frustrated or falling in the company of bad friends.

Biological needs, socializing with bad friends, and the free use of the Internet all work toward becoming accustomed to pornography.

Malpolitics is also a great means of destroying the youth.  The bereaved friends, the 'big brothers' of the college-varsity or the local politicians call for terrorism, extortion and various other crimes in the name of politics, and the youth have to be caught voluntarily or under duress and then ...

After discussing the various problems and external causes of the problems mentioned, it is natural to move towards a solution, but I would like to go deeper into the problems without going into that.

In my opinion, the root of all these problems is in one place.  If you think about it, you will see that the youths who were afflicted with these various problems were once pure from all these sins and vices, they were innocent children, they had a smile on their lips.  Gradually, dishonored, neglected, or neglected by Satan, they have strayed into the wrong path.  From childhood to childhood, adolescence has gone beyond tall soldiers.  Our youth society is made up of millions of such youth.

People are naturally interested in forbidden things.  Ibn al-Jawzi rah.  He said: “The human heart is forced to accept a boundary or cage called the body.  That is why he does not want to accept any limitations in his imagination and work.  Whenever his boundaries are set by a prohibition, he becomes agitated.  Starts to squirm.  After the thought of profit-loss;  I want to jump on it first. ” [5]

Therefore, it is the responsibility of the parents or the family to ensure that this child survives the attack of bad habits and bad relationships and grows up safely.

In the words of an Arabic poet:

  و ينشأ ناشئ الفتيان فينا
 على ما كان عوده أبوه

Meaning: Our young people grow up on that habit, which their parents make them accustomed to.

Lack of proper parenting is also a big reason behind all the problems mentioned.

Maybe you think it's my one-sided thought, then listen to a Hadith.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Every newborn is born with the ability to convert to Islam, then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, a fire-worshiper."  [6]

Listen to another hadith of Sahih Bukhari Sharif, the Prophet said: “Each of you is a responsible person.  And each of you will be asked about his responsibility.  So the ruler of the people is also a responsible person, he will be questioned about his responsibilities.  And the man is responsible for his family, he will be questioned about his responsibilities.”

It is the responsibility of the parents to bring up the child properly.  To teach this, Allah Ta'ala has mentioned the discussions and sayings of Lokman Hakim in different places in the Qur'an.  Lokman Hakim admonished his son, “O my dear son, surely if it (sin) is the amount of mustard seed, then it is in the rocks or in the heavens or on the earth;  Allah will bring that too.  Surely Allah is Knowing, Wise.  [7]

In this way he repeatedly created the fear of Allah in the mind of the child.

Today's child is tomorrow's youth, so at an early age he should be given religious education and moral lessons.  He should be made aware of the evil effects of evil and the evils of sin.  His young mind must sow the seeds of God-fearing and prophetic love.

Ibn al-Jawzi rah.  Another nice thing that came to mind.
He says: “If a person does not become righteous even after reaching the age of 20, it is very difficult for him to reach righteousness.  If you want the growing branch, you can straighten it, but the stem cannot be straightened.  It works when the child is disciplined slowly, it doesn't work when he gets older. "[8]

From an early age the child must be brought up through proper education and intensive care.  Only then will we get a healthy, beautiful and worthy youth.  Those who will ascend to the top of prosperity in this world and will be in the shadow of the Throne in the Hereafter. Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) gave the news that on the Day of Resurrection, Allaah will give seven types of people the shade of the Throne, including the young man who grew up in the worship of his Lord. [9]

Now the question is, how will the young people of today, who are already suffering from various problems, correct themselves?  Honestly, there is no benefit in just reading books or knowing different methods.  There is a saying in Tabligh, ‘The name of knowing is not success, the name of obedience is success.  In fact, if you want to purify yourself from all kinds of sins, you must do a few things.

First, Nasuha must exercise authority with firm commitment and repentance.
There is a proverb in Arabic, العزم هو الاسم الاعظم which means firm promise.

Secondly, taking the company of Allah Wala or a righteous person.  The importance of companionship in bringing change in life is immense.  Through what did the Companions break through the darkness of ignorance and become a tower of light?  About whom it has been said, “My Companions are like stars, you will be guided by the imitation of any one.  [10]
Only the holy companionship of the Prophet has changed them.  Turned into a man of gold.

Thirdly, one should refrain from useless and useless work.  The beauty of Islam is to give up useless deeds in the hadith.  [11] This hadith has been called a quarter of Islam.  In fact, by refraining from unnecessary actions, one can avoid innumerable sins.

Fourth, print the translation of some verses and hadiths that guide you through your problem or process and keep it on the wall of the room, bag or pocket.  So that it catches the eye after a while, it will act as a reminder for you In sha'Allah.
For example, I am mentioning the translation of some verses and hadiths.

Fear the Day when you will have to return to Allah.  [Surat al-Baqara: 281]

For those who love to spread immorality among the believers, there is a painful punishment in this world and in the Hereafter.  Allah knows, you do not know.  [Surah An-Noor: 19]

You say: Tell me, if Allah were to take away your hearing and your eyes and set a seal on your hearts, who is your god besides Allah that could bring these to you?  [Surah An-Nam: 46]

Nothing in the heavens and the earth is hidden from Allah.  [Surah Al 'Imran: 5]

He knows the treachery of the eyes and the secrets of the hearts.  [Surah Al-Muminun: 19]

He is with you wherever you are.  [Surah Al-Hadid: 4]

Do not despair of God's mercy.  Surely Allah will forgive you all your sins.  He is the Forgiving, the Most Merciful.  [Surah Jumar: 53]

Do not approach pornography, whether openly or secretly.  [Surah An-Nam: 151]

It is obligatory to try to earn halal livelihood after other obligatory acts.  [Shuwabul Iman, 12030]

Allah has made business or trade lawful and usury unlawful.  [Surat al-Baqara: 275]

Every creature must taste death.  [Surah An-Nam: 185]

May Allah Ta'ala fill this society with young men like Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, Usama bin Zayd.
